ADStem™ / Treatment journey

How ADStem heals, step by step.

This breakthrough regenerative treatment is derived from healthy donor stem cells, designed specifically to restore natural joint function and significantly reduce chronic pain. Unlike conventional options like NSAIDs or supplements that only mask discomfort, ADStem targets the biological root cause of joint decay. By "rebalancing" the joint environment, the therapy stops the body from attacking its own tissue while stimulating the growth of healthy new cartilage.

With over 250 dogs treated in clinical trials, the results are both fast-acting and durable, showing significant improvements in mobility within just weeks, with positive responses from mild to severe arthrosis and across the age-range of patients. For pet owners, this means a future where your dog can return to an active, pain-free life without the burden of daily medication or invasive surgeries.

ADStem is now becoming the gold standard for restoring quality of life, proven safe and effective for dogs of all ages and breeds.

Why ADStem
Donor cells, ethically sourced from healthy young dogs

The advantage of donor cells.

ADStem uses high-quality "allogeneic" stem cells sourced from healthy donor dogs, rather than your own pet. We obtain these cells from donated surgical waste, consented by the owners of dogs undergoing neutering, making our cell sourcing highly ethical.

This "off-the-shelf" approach is considered a gold standard for regenerative care. It completely removes the need for invasive surgeries to harvest fat or bone marrow from your dog. This means no surgical pain, no extra anaesthesia, and no long waiting periods for laboratory cell processing.

Pharmaceutical-grade cleanroom, ready-to-use doses

Ready when your dog needs it.

Traditional stem cell therapies often require a complex, multi-step process that can delay treatment for weeks. Because ADStem is a standardised, ready-to-use product, your veterinarian can schedule the procedure as soon as a diagnosis is made. The cells are produced in special cleanrooms to ensure pharmaceutical-grade cells, consistent potency and safety in every single dose.

This high level of quality control ensures your dog receives a consistent number of active, healthy cells designed for maximum healing potential. By eliminating patient-to-patient variability, ADStem provides a predictable path to recovery, a streamlined, efficient solution that lets you focus on your dog's journey back to health, rather than the complexities of cell harvesting.

The procedure

A simple, single injection.

The treatment process is remarkably straightforward and takes place right at your local veterinary clinic.

Your dog will receive a single injection directly into the affected joint, under standard sedation. Most dogs return home straight after the injection.

How healing begins

Three vital functions, all at once.

Once injected, the stem cells immediately begin transforming the joint environment. They act as biological managers, releasing natural signalling molecules that perform three vital functions.

This "chondroprotective" action doesn't just manage symptoms; it actually promotes the repair of damaged cartilage. By resetting the joint from a state of decline to active regeneration, ADStem creates the biological conditions necessary for true, long-term tissue recovery.

i

Rebalance.

"Rebalance" the immune response to stop local inflammation.

ii

Release.

Release bioactive factors that rapidly reduce swelling and pain, protecting tissues from further breakdown.

iii

Stimulate.

Stimulate resident cells to restart the production of a healthy joint matrix.

After treatment

Recovering at home.

Following the injection, a simple post-care routine helps ensure the best results. Owners typically keep their dogs on a lead for two weeks, followed by four weeks of light, controlled exercise.

Your vet may recommend a standard NSAID for immediate pain relief after the procedure to manage any transient soreness. Most dogs show visible improvements in lameness, physical activity and weight-bearing within 3 to 8 weeks.

Dog running in a field — sustained mobility for years after treatment

Durable results, for years to come.

A number of our clinical trials confirm that ~80% of treated dogs experience sustained reductions and often a complete absence of pain and lameness for at least 12 months. In many cases, these mobility improvements remain stable for up to five years, confirmed by long-term follow-up studies.

Safety: no immune reactions recorded against the donor cells in our dedicated safety studies and no increased risk of chronic disease over time.
