It was a great pleasure to participate at this conference that brought together veterinarians from not only the local zoos and animal sanctuaries but also attended by international delegates from Europe and the Middle-East to share their experiences and expertise in looking after their animal friends. Topics ranged from COVID19 in zoo lions to case studies on treating broken giraffe jaws.

Stem CellX CEO, Endre Kiss-Toth was invited to talk about our experiences in treating Osteoarthritis in dogs, using mesenchymal stem cells. There was a lively discussion about the possibilities this novel regenerative medicine approach may have for zoo animals and we were delighted to be able to highlight the how stem cells could improve the quality of life of these special animals who often suffer from chronic pain and loss of mobility due to their worn joints
